Can I just show up?
We kindly ask that you register in advance as class sizes are limited. Classes are also subject to cancellation due to inclement weather or insufficient registrations.
What should I bring?
Please bring a yoga mat and water. We also recommend a towel or small blanket for extra cushioning. No worries if you don't have a mat. We always have extras on hand.
Isn't it cold/hot outside?
It can be. Practicing outside is not like practicing in a temperature-controlled studio, and that's part of its charm! It's a chance to fill your lungs with fresh air and connect with the natural world. In the colder months, we may turn on heat lamps, but we recommend dressing in layers. Bonus points if you're rocking leg warmers! In the hot months, don't forget sunscreen.
What style of yoga do you teach?
Most of our classes are vinyasa style. In vinyasa yoga, we move the body in sync with the breath. There's a fluidity to the practice, which is why it's also known as "flow" yoga.
I've never practiced yoga. Can I come?
Most certainly. We love beginners (and seasoned practitioners with a "beginner's mind"). It's helpful if you let the teacher know you're new before class starts. And don't worry about keeping up with other students. Practice makes progress.
