A fundraising event to mark International Women's Day

Delve and Oceanside Museum of Art are pleased to present a donation-based yoga class to mark International Women's Day and raise money for refugee girls.
Join us at the museum to move your body, connect with your breath, and make a difference. No yoga experience necessary. This class will feature beginner-friendly poses with options for more experienced yogis. Please bring a mat and small blanket if possible, though loaner mats will be available.

There are more than 100 million forcibly displaced people around the world — more than at any time in modern history. RefuSHE is a US-based charitable organization that serves one of the world’s most vulnerable populations: refugee girls.
RefuSHE protects and educates girls and young women in Kenya who have been separated or orphaned due to war, conflict, violence, or drought in their home countries. Unaccompanied refugee girls and young women face a host of risks, including physical and sexual abuse, domestic servitude, forced or early marriage, and human trafficking.
RefuSHE prides itself on a holistic approach as unique as the population it serves. It offers everything from transitional housing to vocational training to trauma-informed yoga classes for refugees and staff. Since 2008, it has helped thousands of refugees become emotionally resilient and economically independent.
SUGGESTED DONATION: $20
$25 provides a refugee girl with one month of life skills training
$50 provides a student in RefuSHE's Girls Empowerment Program with one year of school supplies
$100 provides the child of a young refugee mother with one month of daycare
$250 provides a Safe House resident with one year of health and hygiene products
$500 provides a refugee girl with six months of vocational training
